Thought for Tari
by: Jaime

I bet if you used painters tape on the strip of plastic to make a more defined corner (paint one half of the strip one wall color and the other half the other wall color you could create the illusion of a perfect corner. Of course you'll always know its there, but others probably won't even notice.

jaime

thank you. i plan on 3 walls one color and one wall 1 shade darker. it usually makes the room appear bigger. The problem is 2 plastic strips on each wall where they were too cheap to to use joint tape. Wallpaper is out of the question...i don't think that a wallpaper strip would look good...

Idea for Tari
by: Jaime

What if you used the joint where the two walls meet to separate wall colors? Paint one wall one color and the other a deeper shade or completely different color. That way it would look like the joint was meant to be there.

Help with maufactured home wall.
by: Tari

My home is big and open and a manufactured home.
Where the wall pieces meet there is a strip over it to hide it. How can I pull those off and still hide where the walls meet? I am about to makeover a large bedroom and using crisp white crown moulding.

Wall color

paint the wall in Lavender colour, window frames in White, bed spreads in a mix of deep violet, bright yellow and white. Pillow cases in bright yellow. You can even paint patches on one side of the wall in bright yellow where you will have her table. Patches can be squares or lady birds in bright yellow and black.

purple carpet
by: Tanya

Purple carpet is actually quite attractive when mixed with the right colors. Silver, green, touch of red, a small smidgen of red just for accent. You could get beautiful silver laced paper and do the walls half way up with flowy light green and silver curtain hung higher up by the ceiling and flowing against the carpet and do see through glass candle holders with silver toulle with lights(battery powered) and purple beads on the bottom you could add a accent piece inside to complement your bed set or what ever you turn the room into. Try a few colors you like on the wall and study them a few days and then make up your mind and bring pieces in and lay them around in the room and see how they make you feel, it should be inviting. Hope that helps!! Good luck.

purple carpet
by: Ginny

paint walls a med to light gold, then use black with white spread etc med purple curtains or scarf with sheer off white curtain under the scarf. Then throw in pillows with a mixture of the colors, plus a black one and deep purple one. It will be beautiful. I am just doing my daughters room. Of course she has gray carpet, but we are doing the walls gold, spread black and white. Scarf on window in purple and a sheer in off white. She has Black, White, Purple and a pillow with all the colors in it on the bed. Nice and cozy. Hope it works out and would love to see it when finished.

Paint the walls
by: Anonymous

Paint the walls a version of purple and the trim a creamy white. Use creamy accessories.
OR
Just how purple is that carpet?
Paint the walls burgundy-red!
OR
Paint the walls a deeper violet-blue.
