Beach Home Decorating Ideas From Nature

Beach home decorating ideas can be found in nature. The above picture is a good place to start. Notice how the color scheme is light and airy. It is rather monochromatic meaning that the blues are in shades and tones of the same color. To create a shade of a color you add black. To create a tone you add white.

I envision a room with beige walls which comes from the sandy beach. White trim looks fresh and clean. Shades of blues can be used in the fabric on chair cushions or a comforter if you’re decorating a bedroom. Keep the patterns to a minimum because patterns tend to excite the eye and a relaxing atmosphere is what you’re looking to create.

A white wicker chair here or there creates a “beachy” feel. Soft flowing curtain sheers mimic the billowing clouds in the picture. A glass table goes nicely with this look because it contributes to the open air feeling of this look and it imitates the water in the picture.

The green of the palm tree may be added in small amounts around the room. Spots of live greenery bring the outside in. A potted hibiscus tree provides a nice tropical look and will bloom all year ‘round when fertilized regularly.

Fill various shapes and sizes of glass containers with sea shells and group for a table centerpiece or line a window ledge. Shells are a necessity for beach home decorating ideas !
