This magazine is great for ideas. You just have to live with their "reprints". I think, though, that they need to put {Reprint} on the cover. Take it for what it's worth.I bought a duplicate printing and was able to return it to Barnes and Noble with no problem.

Follow BOOKS>MAGAZINE BACK ISSUES and set up a "Saved Search". eBAY will send you an email whenever there are new listings. Be patient. I have found back issues of CF and it's sister mag Cottage Style this way.

I went to www.meredith.com to see if their is a more current issue than Spring/Summer 2011. It is no longer showing up as a subscription under the publishing company. I guess they heard enough compliants and stopped publication. Too bad, my mom was looking forward to the next issue.

Did they change editors or something? This issue was such a disappointment, especially after waiting soooo long for a new issue.
I call it the "runny oatmeal" issue. Every layout except the last one is the same monochromatic runny oatmeal beige, with tan trim and boring brown highlights, YAWN.....
From now on I will sit down and thoroughly scan any French Country Magazine before wasting any more money on it.

All you people looking for this magazine please take mine.The decorating in it is awful,I want my money back,$9.99 is to much for this mess! What does country mean? There's nothing comfortable about it,just stiff furniture and chairs,cold floors,plaid headboard ugly,little bitty curtain rods are ugly,awful wallpaper. The picture on page 9,the only thing worthhaving in that room is the chandlier,the color is ugly,thefurniture is ugly,and who would want those pictures? How about page 10,who decorated the fireplace mantel,awful,the chairs are terrible let alone the seat cushions,good grief,the candle sticks on the ugly table are just as bad,and there are those curtain rods again,echhh. Page 13 that kitchen looks like a clowns room,ugly floor,cabinets,island,backsplash,and that checked fabrics is just bad and whats with those lonely looking chickens and duck,and that horse head,come on!! I could pick the whole magazine apart page by page!!! I would start crying if I wasn't laughing so hard.

Country French magazine is a special interest publication by Meredith Corp. It is a compilation of decor spreads from their various publications, such as Better Homes & Gardens, Traditional Home, etc. Summer issue usually comes out in August, with a reprint or "Back by Popular Demand" issue the following spring. Its high cost is offset by the lack of advertising, but if you subscribe or purchase other Meredith mags, you'll notice the repetition. To be on the safe side, keep your previous issue until the new one comes out. That way, if you lose track, you'll be able to tell if it's a new issue or a reprint. Meredith Corp other Special Interest magazines, such as Condos & Lofts, Elegant Homes, do the same, gleaning from previously published sources. Caveat emptor.

I,too, waited all winter for the spring/summer edition of Country French magazine. I was shocked to see that it is merely a reprint. Since there are so many loyal readers, i don't understand why Meredith Publishing can't come up with a NEW edition. There are many unemployed people who would love an opportunity to come up with material for a NEW edition.

I was so looking forward to the spring/summer 2011 magazine of French Country coming out.It is very hard to find and I kept searching so as not to miss it.You can imagine my disappointment when I discovered that the magazine is nothing new just has a different date on the cover.This is the second time that this magazine has been reissued as was the fall/winter issue.I am so glad I did not waste my money and buy a subscription to this magazine!Can you imagine my shock to have two of the same magazine not once but twice come to my door?I no longer will be searching for this magazine nor recommending it to friends.If the publishers cannot be bothered to at least say it is a reissue of an older magazine and put nothing new out or issue a totally new magazine then I for one will not be buying any further magazines of French Country.

I've been in LOVE with Country French Magazine since the 2005 Premier Edition. Does anyone know:
1)How many issues & dates have been printed since 1st edition? I wanted to buy missing issues but saw an Amazon listing of $209.00 for used copy.
2)The Fall/Winter 2009 & Spring/Summer 2010 "back by popular demand" issues are exactly the same. Each season,are there regular issues & reprints?

Love the magazine also and have been searching for new issue (have the fall/winter 2009). Info found states this is BH&G special interest magazine. The Spring/Summer 2010 issue goes on sale May 25, 2010; the Fall/Winter issue goes on sale August 24, 2010.
