Find the Best Interior Decorating School for You!

Home » Interior Decorating School »

Deciding on a career path can be challenging enough, but now you have to decide on a school! Where do you begin? This page is meant to pair the student with the best home decorating school. If you're already a student, we'd like to hear where you attend interior design school and your experiences, both good and bad. If you're a home decorating, interior decorating or interior design school, feel free to add your name to our directory. We'd like to know what makes your school better than all the rest!

What makes a good school anyway? Here are a few top questions to ask when interviewing an interior design school.

1. Do you require a portfolio review? This is important because it allows the student to be critiqued in a professional way.

2. What kind of Degree will I receive?

3. What is the course outline? You need to know what you're studying to make sure it measures up to real world applications.

4. Do you help with job placement? After all, you want to be sure you can get a job once your education is complete.

5. What is the cost of the program? This is an obvious question, but you may want to make sure they offer flexible payment terms if student loans are not available or applicable.

Although it is necessary to research an interior decorating school extensively online and through the mail, you still need to go and visit in person. The education may be top notch, but you'll not be able to get a feel for the teachers and personal involvement unless to speak with them in person.
