Retro Interior Design in Your Kitchen

This bit of nature reminds me of a retro interior design kitchen color palette. As you recall, this is a special section dedicated to gaining exciting interior design ideas from nature. If you need a refresher

Bright orange accessories such as canisters, cups and plates spruce up an otherwise blank slate. Keep the walls white or a shade of white. Find roller shades with a swirly orange and white pattern like the one above. A 1960’s retro pattern works nicely. If you can’t find the right colors, glue fabric to plain inexpensive white shades for your own custom look! If you can’t find a desirable fabric, draw your own design with colored permanent markers. Black picture frames keep wall art neat and crisp. If you’d like to get a little crazy, add lime green as an accent color for chair cushions or curtains. Paint tired old cabinets a shiny black or simply change the hardware to “Youngstown” pulls like the ones below.

You may have to visit a vintage scrap store. A sunburst clock or mirror brings the look together. This style can be tough to pull off. Remember to limit pattern to just a few areas like the window coverings and framed wall art. Too much pattern can overwhelm the senses. When going for that
retro interior design
look, you need to balance class with wildabeast.
