Salon Interior Design Goes Glam!

Custom Search

Salon interior design depends completely on what image you desire to portray. This article will concentrate on chic with a touch of charm. Remember you want your clients to get the trendy vibes when they walk in, but too much and you might scare them right out the door. After all, we all go to the salon to beautify, so we may not feel gorgeous right when we walk in. The customer needs to feel accepted as who she is right when she walks in with the promise of becoming who she wants to be before she leaves.

For a bit of nostalgia, frame old magazine pictures of fashion and hair from a bygone era such as the 1940’s. Use colors such as chocolate, burgundy and royal blue and gold. Add one or two luxurious velvet waiting chairs.

Offer complimentary cold drinks to the clients who are waiting or even to sip on while she is receiving a manicure. This is a simple and effective way to keep them coming back. I only know of one salon that does this and I keep going back! Offer a pair of fuzzy glam slippers she can slip her feet into luxury during her pampering experience.

Consider make-up table lighting with the large round bulbs that surround each mirror. We don’t all look like movie stars, but there’s no reason we shouldn’t feel like one!

Surround your product shelves with a red velvet curtain panel tied back with gold rope on each side. You can do this by attaching a curtain rod from the ceiling directly above the product shelves.

The accessories you use can bring out just a touch of elegance too. Purchase a couple of faux diamond or pearl studded mirrors with handles. If you're crafty, you can purchase some inexpensive combs and hot glue beads to them to give away to clients as a thank you gift for doing business with you.
