The wonderful thing about Tuscan style is that once the project is started it is very easy to stop, sit and think about your next move. The nature of the beast is a quiet elegance that makes one want to stop and linger. Think Italian hillsides and a glass of wine and ideas will flood in. A place to sit

First of all you'll need a place to sit and relax. Cushions and pillows are one thought while a small patio table for a morning espresso and biscuit would be another. In either case, the cushion will get a good work out so a nice fabric with muted colors and a nice texture might be suggested.

A place to stand

Although eating and drinking while standing are a bit foreign to Tuscany, a nice tile or solid floor concept will go a long way in Tuscan decorating. If Spanish tiles are considered then there are many incredible patterns to choose from. Decorating with tile is almost an art form in itself and should always be at least a consideration because so many patterns and colors come into play.

A place to lean

Everybody recognizes the stucco wall. The nature of the material lends itself to any color but, generally, there are two base colors to choose from; hues of white and hues of yellow. You may even want to try the stucco look yourself using a trowel and plaster.
